The magazine is a blog now

Five printed editions, one archive, and a page that no longer has to be turned.

UNIONSPOT was built as a magazine, and for five editions that is exactly what it was: a thing you opened at the cover and turned page by page until it ended. It worked on paper. It did not work here, where nobody arrives at a cover — they arrive at whatever came out last.

So the shape changed. What you are reading is a post in a flow, and the flow is ordered by one thing only: the date. The newest piece sits at the top with the art large, and everything else falls in behind it. There is no issue to open, no contents page to read first, and no arrow at the bottom right waiting for you.

What happened to the five editions They are still here, and they are the first five posts of the archive. Each one opens with its cover and every page beside it, exactly as it was printed — nothing rewritten, nothing tidied. The edition number stayed on as a gold label. It is no longer a place you go to; it is a tag the post carries.
A page that has to be turned is a page somebody has to decide to turn.

The other change is quieter and matters more. A post now has an author, and the author does not have to be one of us. Until today the portal had no field for it at all: every piece was signed by whoever happened to be writing the magazine that month, and there was no way to hand the page to somebody from outside and have their name come out the other end. Now there is. If you want to write here — about a war, about a city, about the person sitting next to you in the faction chat — talk to an officer.

Nothing was deleted to make room for this. The old editions are in the archive, the old reader still exists in the code, and the twenty-four transcribed pieces are where they always were. What changed is the front door.
