The calendar

Three things fill the year and they are wildly different sizes. What runs when, what never overlaps, and why we do not publish dates.

updated 2026-09-08

Almost everything this faction does happens inside one of three things, and they are not the same size at all. Knowing which one you are in tells you what is being asked of you that week — and it is the fastest way to stop feeling like the game is happening to you.

One year of fighting GW CvC 85–90% 10–15% FCU its own clock · lands on either
GW is nine tenths of it. The FCU runs alongside.
01

GW is nine tenths of what we do

The Governor War takes 85 to 90% of the fighting this faction does. It runs about seven weeks and the length varies, and inside it are nine events of five days each. Everything about it is in the GW section, which is a section of its own for exactly this reason.

If you are ever unsure what the faction wants from you, the answer is almost always whatever the current GW event is asking for that day.

02

CvC is the short one, and it is not about us

City vs City is 10 to 15% of the fighting and it lasts seven days. What makes it different is not the length: it is that the score belongs to the city, not to this faction. The next chapter is about it.

03

The FCU runs on its own clock

The Faction Call-Up appears every two weeks and lasts six days, independent of everything else. It is six days of individual tasks that turn into faction points, and it is the one event where what you do alone, at your own hours, decides the team's result — see the FCU chapter.

04

GW and CvC never run at the same time. The FCU can land on either

That is a fact about the game, not a policy of ours, and it is worth holding: you will never be asked to be in two wars at once, but you can easily be in a war and an FCU at once. When that happens the FCU does not get postponed — it gets done in the gaps.

05

We do not publish dates, because we do not own them

The developers decide when everything starts. There is no calendar of ours to consult and anything that looks like one is a guess, so the faction plans by the event it is in, never by a date worked out at the beginning of a war.

This is why announcements arrive when they arrive, and why "when is the next one" usually gets an honest "we will know when it opens" rather than a number.

06

Oakvale, on top of all of it

Two things carry the Oakvale name and they are not the same:

  • SGO — Supreme Glory of Oakvale. We take part in every one, and near the top of the list; it is one of the events you cannot skip, in the rules section.
  • OAK — the ordinary Oakvale events, on Saturdays.
If you only remember the proportions

Nine tenths GW, and the FCU never stops
