Your first week

Seven things to do in your first seven days. None of them costs money, and all of them are noticed.

updated 2026-09-07

Nobody expects you to be strong in week one. What the team does expect is that you become findable — that when a fight starts, everyone knows what you are, where you are, and what you can send. That is the whole list below.

The short version
  • Read the Faction Message every day. Starting today.
  • Tell an R4 every account you own.
  • Wall up and hospital empty before anyone attacks you.
  • First raid: do nothing for the first minute.
  • Going quiet for a while? Say so first.

Before you fight anything

01

Read the faction message before you play

Not when you remember — every day, before anything else. It is where the faction speaks officially, and "I did not see it" has never worked as an answer. It takes fifteen seconds and it is the cheapest thing in this book to get right.

02

Tell an R4 every account you own

Main, alts, farms, and any UB you hold. The team counts people, not nicks — so until that list exists, your own numbers are wrong, and they are wrong against you. It is one message, and you send it once.

03

Put your wall up before you need it

A crew Underboss on the wall, anti-recon on, combat gear on, hospitals empty. Everyone who ever lost a mansion in this game lost it while planning to set this up later. The how is in Set your account up.

Then join the team

04

Learn the six words that matter

Knives, guns, bikes — and the three digits that say how many of each. Everything shouted in a fight is built out of those. Half an hour with The words we use is the difference between answering a call and asking what the call meant.

05

Your first raid: do nothing for the first minute

A raid opens and the instinct is to send everything immediately. Don't. The raid leader and the caller are still setting it up, and troops that arrive early are troops that die for nothing. Wait for the call, then send exactly what it asks for. The whole minute-by-minute is in Your first raid.

When and as requested. Never before, never differently

06

Give something in your first week

There are two different donations in this faction and they are not interchangeable — the chapter on them explains why. In week one you do not need to know the targets by heart: ask your R4 what the current cycle needs and send that. Arriving and taking for a month is remembered.

07

Say when you are going quiet

Work, exams, a trip, a bad week — none of it is a problem here, and nobody is asked to choose the game over their life. Disappearing without a word is the only version of this that costs you something, because the team plans a fight around who it thinks is coming.

If you remember one thing

Week one is not about being strong. It is about being findable.
