Ranks in this faction carry less weight than newcomers expect, and that is deliberate. They are a way for the R4s to run the roster and for you to read your own standing at a glance — nothing more. Nobody here is worth more because of a number next to their name.
R3 is normal. That is the point of it
Everyone joins the working roster as R3 and stays there. It is not a step to climb out of and there is no queue above it — the faction is a room full of R3s, which is exactly what a faction of equals looks like on a roster screen.

R2 is a message, not a punishment
If you are moved to R2, an R4 is telling you something that a chat message was not going to carry: something has been off long enough to be noticed. It costs you nothing material and it is not a step towards being removed.
The thing to do about it is the obvious one — ask the R4 what it was, in a DM. That answer is never a secret, and going back to R3 is usually a short conversation and a couple of weeks.
R1 means new or farm, and nothing else
Two very different people share this rank and neither should read anything into it: someone who joined this week, and a farm account whose whole job is to move RSS to a main. Seeing R1 next to a name tells you where they are in the process, not how good they are.
R4 and R5 are the same rank with two names
We do not distinguish between them. Both are officers, both hold a front, and decisions are made together. The higher number is not a higher seat — it is a bigger share of the work, done for free, on top of everyone's real life.
The rank is a signal, not a prize.
